2006 NFL Regular Season recap. Part 1 - AFCby Red Beard 1/6/2007

Well, another NFL regular season has come and gone and for yet another season the NFC was a mess and clearly the inferior conference. This time last year, we were all gearing up for an NFC Wild Card match up of Washington and Tampa Bay. This year, those two teams combined for a whopping 9 wins and both will have picks in the top 6 for this coming draft. Before the regular season officially wrapped up there was the possibility that a 10 win AFC team could have missed the playoffs. Luckily things worked out and that was not the case. Should he stay or should he go? by Jon Starz 12/31/2006

The NFL carousel is about to begin after today's game. I will ponder if the team or even the coach himself should make a change.

The expectations have to be unreal for next year. But it is obvious he is not going anywhere. The Patriots have Belichick. Enough said, he is not heading out. Travel to East Rutherford and we have the Jets Mangini who looks to be just the second 1st year coach in Jets history to make the playoffs. (more)

NCAA BCS Championship: Is it really the top 2 teams?by Jon Starz 12/23/2006

The Bowl season is among us and it came with great controversy. Ohio State vs Florida in the National Championship provides the country with what many of the media wanted to see. The problem is though that Florida is not the second best team in the country. I am tired of hearing all of the naysayers telling us that Michigan had their chance and lost. (more)

LenDale Whiteby Ben "Red" Beard

Which USC running back scored the most touchdowns this year? Most people would say Reggie Bush. Most people would be wrong. Bush's back mate, LenDale White led the Trojans with 24 rushing touchdowns this season, including three in Wednesday's Rose Bowl loss to Texas. In fact, Lendale White holds the USC record for most career touchdowns. A very impressive feat considering he overtook the likes of Bush, Charles White, Marcus Allen, and OJ Simpson. (more)

NFL Parityby Ben "Red" Beard

Since the inception of the salary cap, the NFL has strived to create parity among its teams. The NFL wants all teams to have an equal chance at fielding a champion. For the most part it has been successful. Since the institution of the salary cap in 1994, there have been 16 different teams representing their respective conferences and 8 different Champions, in 11 Super Bowls. (more)
